At Woodmar UMC, we put faith and love into action. The mission of the Woodmar United Methodist Church is to create disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We aim to live life intentionally with our neighbors in Hammond and all of Northwest Indiana. We invite you to learn more about what we mean when we talk about God's grace, how we serve the people of our community, and the ways we grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Why We
Worship Together
We gather together to worship to simply give thanks to our God. Scripture tells us that wherever two or three are gathered in His name, He is right there with them. Taking time out of our busy schedules to come together as a community and praise God is just one of the many ways that we express our gratitude.

Community Garden is an annual summer project. We plant a variety of vegetables, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, and bell peppers.
We love to encourage reading for people of all ages, since learning doesn’t stop once you get out of school! Take what you need, leave what you can.
Since its construction, we have been blessed with abundant donations. We strive to help feed the hungry in our community.
Community Preschool and Childcare provides a high-quality educational program and child daycare in a Christian environment for children ages three through five years serving the communities of Northwest Indiana. ​Our NWI Preschool and Church Daycare in Hammond is a Safety Net of Love and Learning.
